Project Engineer
Project Engineer
Questar Construction is currently searching for a Project Engineer with at least 3 to 5 years of experience working for a general contractor. OSHPD experience preferred.

Job Description:
The Project Engineer will report to the Project Executive and/or Project Manager, assisting in administrative efforts to achieve project profitability and goals. A qualified candidate will be detail-oriented, have the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, create thorough progress and cost reports, and consistently meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with project buyout
- Track Exhibit B Initials once sent to Trade Partner by Project Manager
- Manage material and equipment procurement and expediting
- Make schedule revisions and distribution
- Schedule, participate in, and document all project coordination meetings
- Process and maintain document logs: RFI’s, submittals, etc.
- Process RFI’s, Submittals, Change Orders, etc.
- Process and maintain document logs: RFI’s submittals, etc.
- Prepare document distributions to trade partners
- Review and negotiate change proposal pricing from Trade Partners
- Prepare change order pricing for self-performed work
- Track and translate submitted CORs and OCOs for final approval
- Create Trade Partner Change Adjustments with backup
- Collect and review Trade Partner/Owner invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Project cost review, reporting, updating, and accounting
- Monitor and document jobsite and accident prevention
- Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specs, and logs
- Conduct thorough construction reviews
- Document punch list work
- Maintain other required records needed by the client, i.e. certified payroll reports
- Manage project closeout: tracking documentation (warranties, guarantees, acceptance of work, final payment, Trade Partner and vendor close), and compiling and submitting to Owner/Architect
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of OSHPD
- Working knowledge of project documents (ability to read and understand plans & specifications for all trades)
- Basic estimating and scheduling skills

Job Description:
The Project Manager is responsible for directing and developing all activities related to the project, including planning, management, estimating, and coordination of crew and trade partners—ensuring the project is completed timely and within budget. A qualified candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, create thorough logs and cost reports, and consistently meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Superintendent, Project Engineer, and other field staff to maintain productivity on the jobsite
- Active participation during preconstruction development, bidding process, and buyout
- Approve Trade Partner, General Condition, and Owner invoices, and expedite payments
- Review all plans for completeness and accuracy
- Project cost reports and finalize with Estimator
- Manage implementation of project schedule to meet completion date, including Scopes of Work
- Negotiate material purchases, and change order requests
- Foster and maintain Owner, Architect, Trade Partner, and Vender relations
- Organize regular meetings with management and Trade Partners
- Drive enforcement of quality assurance and safety protocols
- Monitor training and brand management among employees
- Coordinate close-out processes, including project execution and financials, success factors, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of OSHPD preferred
- Working knowledge of all crafts (ability to read and understand specifications for all trades)
- Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification a plus
- Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principals and techniques

Superintendent

Job Description:
The Superintendent is responsible for quality control, safety, and delegation of work to field staff and trade partners to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. A qualified candidate will be detail-oriented, have the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, create thorough progress and cost reports, and consistently meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Manage on-site safety (i.e. weekly safety meetings and tailgate meetings with trade partners)
- Prepare and maintain project schedule and three week look-ahead schedules
- Document and complete punchlists in a timely manner
- Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain schedule
- Monitor projects costs and identify areas for improvement
- Responsible for all daily field operations and coordination of trade partner activities
- Verify trade partner certificates of insurance
- Review all drawings, specifications, and trade partner submittals
- Foster the development of foreman to grow into future superintendents
- Perform start up testing and turnover to Owner
- Document final close-out and Owner’s acceptance
